out driftwood appearance of natural thatching materials, which
start aging shortly after construction.
Unlike natural thatching materials (ie. african reed or bali
alang alang) which lose their appearance quite quickly, Therma-shade
will not fade, mould or shed material even after 10 years.
Accelerated weatherometer testing has shown no visible aging
of the Therma-shade product after 10 years of simulated weather
conditions.
Therma-Shade thatching does not rot and does not go mouldy
which is the number one complaint with natural reed thatching.
No cleaning or treatments are required with our product at
all.
Therma-shade thatching is able to withstand 200kmh winds
and is unaffected by storms, gale force winds etc unlike other
shade-type constructions, patios etc.
With natural fibres, shedding is also an issue especially
around a swimming pool or spa.
Another amazing feature of the Therma-shade tiles is that
they are fire retardant, no other manufacturer can boast this
without annual expensive and dangerous, fire retardant chemicals
